ME1: DEMO Project: Improving student competences for the Platform Economy

We are delighted to invite representatives of the companies and practitioners dealing with training matters in industries targeted by the digital platform enterprises, PhD students, academics, teachers, university management staff, educators, to take part in the event “Improving student competences for the Platform Economy”.
Target groups: Teachers, educators, university management staff, PhD students, practitioners dealing with training matters in industries targeted by the Digital Platform Enterprises.
Objectives:
- Present the results achieved by the DEMO project.
- Discuss with participants the concept of the Joint Industry- Academia Digital Platform Enterprise Master Guideline.
- Engage in discussions with experts, peers and industry practitioners on the needs of Digital Platform Enterprise managers.
- Exchange knowledge and best practices with other participants.
Description of the ME1, organized by University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), Croatia
DEMO project multiplier event (ME1) was organized as two separate events that in total had 53 participants. One was for 20 foreign participants from University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, and second one was for 33 local participants (representatives of the companies and practitioners dealing with training matters in industries targeted by the digital platform enterprises). ME for local participants (33 of them) was organized during FOI's Career week which was attended by the professionals and companies that employ FOI's students. More than 60 companies attended the annual career week. Both events were organized in the same manner and with the same agenda. First on the agenda was a welcome speech and introduction to the event which followed with presentation of the DEMO project its activities, summer school(s), joint industry-academia DPE master concept, literature on DPE and presentation on the DPE and related topics. Both events ended with Q&A, discussion and networking. All members of FOI team were involved in the organization of the multiplier events.

ME2: Results and contribution of the DEMO project to career chances for students

We are delighted to invite representatives of the companies and practitioners dealing with training matters in industries targeted by the digital platform enterprises, PhD students, academics, teachers, university management staff, educators, to take part in the event “Results and contribution of the DEMO project to career chances for students”.
Target groups: Teachers, educators, university management staff, PhD students, practitioners dealing with training matters in industries targeted by the Digital Platform Enterprise.
Objectives:
- Increase visibility of the DEMO project in the educational community.
- Present the results achieved by the project to academics and teachers.
- Discuss with participants potential developments for the project results.
- Engage in discussions with experts, peers and industry practitioners on the needs of Digital Platform Enterprises.
- Exchange knowledge and best practices with other participants.
- Present experience reports from the DEMO 2023 summer school and DEMO 2024 summer school.
- Discuss the possibility of a follow-up research or educational project.
Description of the ME2, organized by National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Business Engineering and Management, Romania
The DEMO project multiplier event (ME2) was organized as a hybrid format event that had 67 participants in total. The face-to-face meeting was attended onsite by 55 participants and the online meeting was attended by 12 participants. The ME2 was organized at The National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest (UNSTPB). The face-to-face meeting had as participants, Politehnica ERASMUS students, PhD students, teachers, university staff, news media staff, and companies that employed UNSTPB's students. The online event took place on Microsoft Teams and had as participants PhD students, professionals and companies that employed UNSTPB's students, university staff and teachers.
